Prevention Education

Daughters of Worth believes education is a vital key to prevention. Since 2015, we have been dedicated to delivering impactful prevention education sessions in schools and community organizations. With bi-monthly sessions lasting 45-60 minutes, we engage students in thought-provoking discussions that foster a strong sense of self worth and making informed decisions. Collaborating with local partners like the Juvenile Justice system allows us to expand our reach and create a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

We are dedicated to creating a safe space for individuals to explore their self-worth and personal growth. Our sessions focus on crucial topics like understanding your value, fostering healthy relationships, and promoting resilience. We emphasize character formation while addressing pressing issues such as trafficking and substance use prevention. Our trained facilitators provide a supportive environment, helping participants develop coping skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Our focus is on empowering youth aged 10-18 to avoid the perils of trafficking. With research indicating that the average age for trafficking victims hovers around 12-14 years, we prioritize our efforts on preventing these youths from becoming victims. Through education, advocacy, and support, we strive to equip young minds with the tools they need to protect themselves and build a brighter future. We recognize the importance of choice for the survivors that have been under the control of their traffickers. Our organization offers a variety of safe house options based on individual preferences such as location, faith, and distances involved in their journey. By collaborating with the National Trafficking Shelter Alliance and Safe House Project, as well as safe homes throughout North Carolina, we ensure that survivors receive the support they deserve. Furthermore, with the help of Freedom Aviation Network and Wings of the Way, we provide the necessary air travel arrangements for those needing relocation, fostering a pathway to healing and hope.
